Last book of the day:
‘Rising Son’, a prequel to Supernatural.
I told you I was a fan. Big time! And I’m really sad that the season’s last episode airs today… October is still so far away! Sniff…
But, I digress.
Remember Sammy being the most important human in the world, in Azazel’s eyes? Well, after the whole Mary incident and John plunging head-first into the hunter’s lifestyle, the boys spent a good deal of time on the road and living in crappy motels, always moving around, never staying long in each and every school… Tough life for an 11 and a 7 year-old.
But things can always go down South, no matter how bad they already are. And this prequel shows us how far John Winchester (Aka Papi Winchester) is willing to go to protect his boys. And it’s a long, long way.
Of course, we already knew he wasn’t the best father anyone could ask for, but here we see the struggle he went through, trying to juggle his kids’ lives and his hell-bent revenge mission.
I don’t really like him more after this book… I just kind of get his point of view.
3 out of 5 stars.
