New? Potter!

As soon as we found out that there was going to be an eight HP book, our magic hype went sky-high! I mean, after all this years it was about time to get something new – in book format, we’re not counting the new movie – even if that new story is, and J.K. Rowling confirmed it (according to a Huffington Post’s article), the script adaptation of “The Cursed Child” theatrical play. On the play’s website we can read that it will deal with Harry’s life after Hogwarts, picking up right where the last book left, at Platform 9 3/4 with Harry’s kids going to Hogwarts – “While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.”

Now the question we’re all making is if it’s worth it? Or if it is a wise decision to mess with a story that has had a good ending? Of course we all want to know more and most of us don’t ever want to part with our favourite characters but sometimes it just better to leave it to each individual imagination… And the magical world has so much story and interesting things to pick from – just like the Scammander movie – but oh well, only time will tell now if this Cursed Child is a blessed one after all. Both play and book will debut on July 31 (J.K. and Potter’s birthday!)
